Starting or growing your business
If you're looking to start or grow your business, Mitchell Shire Council is proactive in engaging business and industry development.
Council has a dedicated team to help guide your business through the application process. We recognise that starting a new business is hard enough, so we want to take the stress out of getting a permit and make sure you get the permits you need as smoothly as possible. Our team is here to make this happen and will help you at each stage of the process.
Before you apply
Before you apply, we'll help you get the advice you need to apply for the right permits for your business.
As you may need different permits to get your business up and running, applicants are encouraged to use our Self-Assessment Tool to identify the permits you might need. Following self-assessment, you can choose to be contacted by a Council officer to help with any questions you might have.
Once you have applied, we'll guide you through the process that gets you your permits.
