We are responsible for:

  • inspecting food premises to assess areas and identify the food safety management and process controls and their effectiveness
  • sampling of local produce for compliance with the Food Standards Code
  • investigating food borne incidents and complaints.

Under the Food Act 1984, you must notify us of your business before you can start trading.
