Business Advice Service
Mitchell Shire Council has worked to create a package to support community and business moving into recovery. This has included a successful application to Working for Victoria which will see additional staff engaged to assist with the recovery process.
As a result, a free Business Advice Service to support small and medium-size enterprise (SME) businesses in Mitchell Shire to respond during the remainder of the crisis and to recover thereafter has been initiated.
The private and confidential Business Advice Service sessions are held with a specialist in the following areas of expertise:
- accountancy and tax advice (e.g. in particular in relation to accessing government support administered through the ATO and other accounting matters arising as a result of COVID-19)
- business strategy (e.g. pivoting your business to better respond to and recover from COVID-19)
- human relations advice (e.g. employee rights, remuneration, legal entitlements and obligations)
An initial session with the specialist will be 60 mins per area of expertise and subsequent sessions can be held, if needed.
Businesses are not limited to sessions in one area of expertise.
The number of sessions is limited by availability and will be conducted during business hours. (If you require a time outside of business hours, please let us know and we will see what can be arranged).
If you are a small and medium-size enterprise (SME) and would like to take advantage of this service, please complete the Business Advice Service Request Form below.
