Terms and conditions — street party in the park

The Mitchell Street party in the park program is being run and managed by Mitchell Shire Council.

By completing the expression of interest form and accepting the Mitchell Street party in the park pack, you have agreed to all terms and conditions.

Privacy statement

Personal information collected by Council is used for municipal purposes as specified in the Local Government Act 2020 or other relevant legislation. All personal information (including images) collected by the Proponent and Mitchell Shire Council will be used for the Council’s business purposes and kept confidential except as permitted in the above Terms and Conditions of Entry.

These details will not be disclosed to third parties unless the Council is required to disclose the information under other legislation or disclosure is necessary to complete the purpose for which it is sought. You may access the information you have provided to the Council at any time and make corrections if you believe that information is incorrect.

Mitchell Street party in the park pack will be for Mitchell Shire residents.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Participants details will be securely recorded to ensure that provision of one pack per person is upheld.
  2. Resident’s details that will be recorded to ensure eligibility include:
    • First and Last name
    • Address
  3. Packs will be assigned by a ballot system. Packs will be allocated across areas of Mitchell Shire in accordance with the Forecast ID Small Areas population data https://forecast.id.com.au/mitchell, with eligible expressions of interest for each area going into a ballot draw. Where allocation of packs is not exhausted due to ineligibility or lack of expressions of interest Mitchell Shire Council reserves the right to not allocate all packs.
  4. Packs are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash and are provided FREE for all residents who meet the terms and conditions and are chosen in the ballot.
  5. The ballot will take place between the 13th December 2021 and Friday 17th December 2021 and winners will be notified by email and SMS/phone. Packs will be claimable from the date of notification to Friday 14th January 2022.
  6. Proof of residing in Mitchell Shire is required. Acceptable confirmation of Mitchell Shire residency includes:
  7. An Australian driver’s license/ learner’s permit
  8. Mitchell Shire Library Card
  9. Utilities bill showing address
  10. Rates notice showing address
  11. You will need to show us proof of Mitchell Shire residency, such as a driver’s license/ learner license, Mitchell Shire Library Card, utilities bill, or rates notice.
  12. Proof of identification and Mitchell Shire Residency will be requested at the time of claiming the pack. Acceptable forms of ID include:
    • An Australian driver’s license/ learner’s permit
    • Mitchell Shire Library Card
    • Proof of age card
    • Passport
  13. It is mandatory that all participants adhere to the COVID-19 health and safety requirements as established by the Victorian State Government when holding their Street party in the park. A disregard of social distancing or other guidelines is against the terms and conditions of this program.
  14. It is mandatory that all participants adhere to any Mitchell Shire Local Laws or other requirements for use of parks and open spaces.
  15. Mitchell Shire council is not held accountable for unused packs and any vouchers contained therein. It is recipient’s responsibility to use vouchers within the eligible time frame.
  16. Packs are strictly limited to one per person, identification will need to be provided when claiming the voucher.
  17. This support is provided for activities that are alcohol free and include healthy food options.
