Garbage and recycling bins have been installed in many of Council's parks and reserves.
Waste Management Plans for Community Events
If you are holding an event at a Council park or reserve, you must prepare a Council-approved Community Event Waste Management Plan below. Your plan outlines the type of waste that will be produced at the event, how the waste will be stored and collected. Waste Management Plans need to be submitted 2 weeks prior to an event.
Council Waste Services for Events
Council is able to provide waste and recycling services for events through its contractor Cleanaway. There is a cost for this service.
Council has a limited number of bin caps for events, which fit on top of 240-litre bins to clearly distinguish between waste and recycling bins. These are available for use at events.
