Health and Wellbeing Plan

Mitchell Shire Council's Health and Wellbeing Plan 2021 to 2025 outlines how we promote health and wellbeing for all residents.

The plan identifies community priorities and seeks to build a healthier, more liveable community through delivering improved services in strong partnership settings and reducing inequalities and disadvantages.

Priority areas

The Health and Wellbeing Plan 2021 – 2025 has 4 priority areas. We formed these focus areas by analysing data from hundreds of community members.

You can download the background paper below.

Active and healthy

All members of our community will have opportunities to be active. We will all have access to healthy food and will live in environments that enable and encourage positive health and wellbeing outcomes.

Informed and connected

Our community will be empowered and resilient and all people will have access to the services and supports they need to live healthy lives.

Safe and respectful

All residents will feel safe, welcome and respected at home, and in the community, regardless of background and identity.

Liveable and thriving

Our community will rise to the challenges created by growth and climate change and be a liveable, prosperous and thriving place for all.
