Information on changes to Council services and events as part of our response to Coronavirus and how we are supporting the provision of essential Council services.
We're encouraging people to avoid face-to-face contact if they can.

|Animal pound and dangerous and wandering animals||Continuing||Stray animals will still be collected. Procedures in place to ensure social distance between residents and staff.|
|Animal registrations||Continuing||New registrations can be completed over the phone 5734 6200 or email email@example.com. Registration renewals due 10 April. Please phone if you are experiencing financial hardship.|
|Building and planning||Reduced services||Wallan service desk closed. Inspections and phone service still occurring. Online services available.|
|Citizenship ceremony||Cancelled||April citizenship ceremony cancelled. For questions regarding your citizenship please contact the Department of Home Affairs 131 881.|
|Council meetings||Continuing||Proceeding in Broadford Hall to enable social distancing. Requests to State Government for intervention to enable meetings to occur remotely. Livestreaming options being investigated.|

|Events||Cancelled||All events are cancelled including the April Citizenship Ceremony.|
|Greater Beveridge Community Centre||Reduced services||Maternal and child health and immunisation services open. TRY kindergartens closed from Friday 27 March for school term break, no community bookings.|
|Hall and venue hire||Closed|
|Immunisation||Continuing||Extra precautions are in place.|
|Kindergartens||Closed||Closed in line with school arrangements.|

|Maternal and child health||Reduced services||Telephone consultation and short home visits or centre visits of no more than 15 minutes to be conducted. Your Maternal and Child Health nurse will call you on the morning of your appointment and arrange a time to contact you. Breastfeeding clinics will be via the phone. Please call 5734 6253 to let the Lactation Consultant know that you want assistance and she will contact you. Sleep and Settling will be via the phone 5734 6253.|

|Waste - resource recovery centres||Reduced services||Residents and local businesses only from Saturday 4 April. No e-waste collections. Seymour closed. Broadford (Mia Mia Road), open extended hours (10am-4pm, 6 days per week excluding Mondays). Pyalong and Wallan open normal hours. Extra precautions in place - stay in car to pay, cashless only, maintain safe distance, follow directions.|
