Setting up direct debits and payment plans for kindergarten fees

Families are asked to pay fees for your child’s attendance at kindergarten. You can decide to pay upfront, or via direct debit, processed each term, fortnightly, or weekly.

Why we pay fees

The kindergarten service is subsidised by the Department of Education and Training and Mitchell Shire Council. This subsidy does not however cover the full costs of operating a kindergarten program.

Kindergarten term fees are determined each year by Mitchell Shire Council .

Some 4-year-old families may be eligible to a concession rebate if they have a current eligible concession card.

Fee schedule

Kindergarten fees are available on our fees for kindergarten services page.

Confirming your kindergarten place

When you receive your child's offer into the kindergarten program you are required to pay the first scheduled amount, as confirmation of your child's enrolment before you start kindergarten.

If your child is in 4-year-old kindergarten and you are eligible for the Department of Education: Kindergarten fee subsidy, we will need to see your concession card.

You will also be asked to sign a Contract for Payment of Fees to agree to its terms.

Term Invoices

An invoice for each term will be sent to all families with 28 days to pay. You can pay those fees by cheque, money order, post office or by BPay before the scheduled due date.

Setting up direct debit payments

You can organise for your fees to be deducted from your bank account weekly or fortnightly.

Request a payment plan

If your family is experiencing financial hardship or difficulties in paying their fees by the due date, you can contact our Children's Services Department on 03 5734 6200 to organise a payment option arrangement.

Health Care Card holders

A rebate is available for children enrolled in 4-year-old kindergarten whose parents or guardians hold a current Health Care Card of Pension Card. A rebate is not available for 3-year-old kinder.
