Services

Mitchell Shire Council delivers more than 100 services to the local community and maintains significant infrastructure including roads, bridges, drains, libraries, recreation facilities, parks and gardens.

Council is also responsible for enforcing State and Local Laws relating to matters including land use planning, environment protection, public health, traffic, parking and animal management.

Integrated emergency management is also facilitated by Mitchell Shire Council in conjunction with various government and public service agencies to plan for and provide assistance to the community during fire, flood, storm and heatwave emergencies.
