The Brave Goose Vineyard is tucked away in the foothills of the Tallarook ranges in Central Victoria.
The initial plantings occurred in 1988, starting with Cabernet Sauvignon, followed by Shiraz, Merlot, Malbec, Gamay, and most recently Viognier.
The soils are predominantly weathered ironstone loam, with very little topsoil, ideal for growing low yielding, top quality vines.
The family-run boutique vineyard produces all of the wines in a boutique cellar using traditional winemaking techniques.
The reds are fermented in small open topped fermenters, followed by basket pressing, and maturation in quality French oak barrels.
