Proposal to amend a development plan — Springridge Estate
Springridge Estate, 625 & 646 Northern Highway, Wallan
Mitchell Shire Council has received an application to amend an approved development plan in accordance with the Development Plan Overlay provisions at Clause 43.04 (Schedule 8) of the Mitchell Planning Scheme.
The land affected by the proposal is 625 and 646 Northern Highway, Wallan which is more commonly known as the Springridge Estate.
The key changes being proposed are:
- increase in the total number of residential lots from 938 to a total of 994 lots
- land set aside for a local community centre along Springridge Boulevard (in Stage 3 of the development), is proposed to be replaced with public open space (around 1,000 square metres) and additional residential lots
- in lieu of land for the local community centre, an agreement is to be entered into for a shared path to be delivered that will provide a vital pedestrian and cyclist link between Springridge Estate and the Wallan Town Centre
