Proposed Development Plan — 6A Butler Court and 16, 17 & 18 McCarthy Court Wallan
Mitchell Shire Council has received an application for development plan approval pursuant to the development plan overlay provisions at clause 43.04 (schedule 16) of the Mitchell Planning Scheme.
The land affected by the proposed development plan is described as 16, 17, 18 McCarthy Court and 6A Butler Court in Wallan and comprises 5.86 ha of land.
The proposed development plan seeks consent for the subdivision of land to create residential lots, roads, public open space, a landscape zone and retarding basin.
Council is currently undertaking an assessment of the proposed development plan, as such the final content and form of the development plan is subject to change based on Council’s assessment. The final development plan will be formally considered at a Council meeting later this year.
Any development plan that may be approved for the site does not provide planning permit approval or consent for works to commence on site. In addition, approval of a development plan does not provide any form of guarantee or assurance that future planning permit applications will be granted or the nature of conditions which would be imposed.

Please note, in accordance with the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and Mitchell Planning Scheme, there is no requirement to formally exhibit these documents and consider submissions. However Council will consider any submissions or comments received as part of its formal consideration of the Development Plans at a Council meeting.
