Appealing a planning permit decision at VCAT

If we have decided to refuse your planning permit application or issued a permit with conditions that you don’t agree with, you can lodge an appeal to VCAT. You have 60 days from the date of the decision to do so.

People who objected to a planning permit which has since had a Notice of Decision to Grant a Planning Permit issued can also lodge an appeal to VCAT. These applications must be lodged within 21 days of the signing of the Notice of Decision to Grant a Planning Permit.

To find out more about the appeal process, go to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
