The application is proposing the buildings and works associated with an extension to an education centre including the partial demolition of a building. The proposed buildings and works include a staff centre and a partial demolition and extension of Shandon House.
The application is proposing buildings and works for the construction of a staff centre. The staff centre will adjoin the existing chapel located in the central portion of the site. The staff centre will be a single storey building with an overall area of 1100sqm.
The building will contain a staff lounge with kitchenette, a number of staff meeting spaces and offices, along with a toilet block.
The building will be contemporary in design and be cladded in brickwork, CFC panel and Colorbond fascia.
The building will have a pitched roof form that will be cladded in Colorbond.
Internal refurbishments to the chapel will also occur.
Shandon house is located in the central portion of the site. The proposal is seeking to partially demolish a portion of this building (a previous extension) and undertake a new extension, along with internal restorations and modifications.
The extension will include a toilet block and the inclusion of an office. The proposed extension will be two storeys with an overall area of approximately 60sqm and located to the rear of the existing building.
The existing building will be internally altered to include a reception, waiting room, office and meeting rooms.
The extension will be contemporary in design and be cladded in brickwork and glazing, with a pitched Colorbond roof.
