Places of public entertainment permit
A Place of Public Entertainment (POPE) is often required for events that need to temporarily occupy a building or public space or conduct a street party.
These permits have a checklist of requirements that event organisers must meet to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the people attending has been considered.
Events not organised by community groups, where a fee is charged for entry or that are fenced in or contained in a building, are likely to need a POPE permit.
Payment is required before we can issue a permit.
