COVID restrictions
Important update about vaccination for Leisure Centre members and guests
The Victorian Government has announced new vaccination rules for those visiting leisure centres in Victoria.
From 11.59pm on Sunday 19 November, any member or guest who are 18 years or older is required to be fully vaccinated to attend Council’s leisure facilities.
Our staff are required to see evidence of vaccination – or an authorised medical exemption – before allowing visitors into our centres, so please have it ready when you arrive to avoid delayed entry.
Providing proof of vaccination
You can get a COVID-19 digital certificate or your immunisation history statement to show proof of your vaccinations through:
If you can’t get proof online, your vaccination provider can print your immunisation history statement for you. You can also call the Australian Immunisation Register and ask them to send your statement to you. It can take up to 14 days to arrive in the post.
Masks
Masks are no longer required to be worn within the centre, however, customers can still wear them if they wish to.
Checking in
Please remember to check in to the centre using the QR code upon entry.
Swimming lessons
All parents/guardians and spectators of Learn to Swim students entering the facilities must be fully vaccinated for your child to enter the facilities for their lessons.
Opening times
- Monday to Thursday, 6am to 9pm
- Friday, 6am to 7.30pm
- Saturday to Sunday, 8am to 1pm
- Public Holidays, 10am to 2pm
FAQs
We will continue to follow any directions provided by the Victorian State Government and the Chief Health Officer. We have zero tolerance for abuse and ask that you help maintain a safe environment for patrons and staff. We ask that you help us by:
- following Covid Marshall and staff directions
- showing proof of double vaccination or an authorised medical exemption on every visit
- provide photo ID if you have a medical exemption
- checking in via the QR code on entry
- staying home if you are unwell
- using hand sanitiser and handwashing regularly

Bookings are no longer required.
There are no density limits within the centres.
We remind all members and guests that it is now mandatory for those 18 years or older to show evidence that you are fully COVID-19 vaccinated in order to enter the facility or show evidence of a medical exemption.
All parents/guardians of Learn to Swim students entering the facilities must be fully vaccinated for your child to be able to enter the facilities for their lessons.
Yes. All patrons must scan in on entry to the facilities each time they enter the building.
Face masks are not required however are required to be carried with you and worn if you cannot socially distance.
All memberships were reactivated for health club on Thursday 4 November and Learn to Swim memberships reactivated on Thursday 18 November.
All changeroom facilities and showers have reopened.
- Hourly cleaning of high touch points
- installation of hands-free sanitising stations throughout the centre
- additional signage to keep patrons informed
- sanitised wipes and additional cleaning of surfaces
- air conditioning has been limited in use of recycled air
- all users of the pool must sign in for contact tracing
Mitchell Leisure Services have a dedicated COVID Marshall to ensure that all touchpoints are cleaned between use.
To keep everyone safe, we ask that you do not visit a centre if you have been feeling unwell or have been in contact with someone unwell.
Pool and learn to swim lessons
Bookings are no longer required.
Swimming lessons recommenced on Wednesday 3 November 2021
Absolutely. Children can have aqua play before and after their lessons.
Please call your preferred centre and we will be able to assist.
There is no limit to the number of parents/guardians that can attend lessons however any spectators 18 years or over entering the facilites must be fully vaccinated.
Siblings are permitted to come in and watch or have aqua play however any spectators 18 years or over entering the facilites must be fully vaccinated.
Yes.
Children under 5 years of age must have a parent/guardian within arm’s reach at all times.
If there are siblings in the facility, the watch around water rule applies to the accompanying children.
Children between 5 - 10 years of age must have parent/guardian supervision where parents must actively watch their children at all times and not be on devices or reading.
No. The Watch Around Water Policy still applies.
Gymnasium and group fitness
Bookings are no longer required.
To make a booking, please contact the centre of your choice.
All Group Fitness have returned. Bookings are not required.
Creche
Creche services have reopened at Kilmore Leisure Centre on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Bookings are essential by calling the centre.
Stadium
The Stadium has reopened. All patrons, coaches and spectators over the age of 18 years must be fully vaccinated to use the facilities.
