Crèche at leisure centres

A Stimulating, Safe Environment for your Child

Our qualified educators will supervise your child in an interactive and secure environment. The crèche environments have games, toys and equipment to keep your young ones happy while you go about your day.

We believe that children have the right to a safe and welcoming environment where they can grow, develop and learn through play. Each child is respected as an individual with unique needs, interests and wants – this is reflected in the daily routines, activities and programs provided within our centres. The educational program is balanced to ensure that children are provided with opportunity to develop to their potential. Children are encouraged to embrace independence, make choices, explore the environment and to extend their creativity with confidence.

The service encourages all children to be included in our program regardless of gender, ability, religious or cultural influences, family make-up and socio-cultural position.

Opening Hours

Kilmore Leisure Centre:

Monday: 9am to 12 noon
Tuesday: 9am to 12 noon
Wednesday: Closed
Thursday: Closed
Friday: 9am to 12 noon

Seymour Sports and Aquatic Centre will remain closed. This will be reviewed at the commencement of Term 2.

Bookings

Bookings are essential and no walk in's will be accepted. Bookings will be limited to 8 children initially. This will be reviewed based on demand. Call the centre on 5734 0600 to make a booking.

If Your Child is Unwell

It is standard practice in an early childhood setting; children and staff who are unwell should not attend the Centre.

- If your child is unwell, has a temperature above 37°C, or has any cold and flu symptoms, please ensure you keep them at home until all symptoms have gone.

- If a child develops any symptoms of becoming unwell during a Creche and Occasional Care session, the parent/guardian will be contacted to collect their child.

- If children present to Creche & Occasional Care are feeling unwell, they may not be accepted into the service that day.

- Please remember to support your child/children in using the handwashing and cough/sneezing practices.

Services Hygiene and Cleaning

Our Creche and Occasional Care teams are continuing to review and increase all levels of daily hygiene practices, particularly high touch surfaces. There will continue to be a reduction in some smaller/harder to clean resources and toys.

Children will be guided on handwashing and hygiene in a fun and engaging way and as we continue to incorporate this into everyday practice. For children it is already becoming the new norm.

Touch points will be cleaned frequently as well as our daily thorough facility clean. Teams will continue with their wipe down practices and upgraded processes throughout the morning also.

Our Creche & Occasional Care teams have been creative in changing their programs and environment to encourage good hygiene practices, social distancing and reduce large group activities where possible through this pandemic. There may continue to be some changes to the furniture arrangement, extra visual cues, new experiences and plenty of discussion with the children about their learning environment as we continue to navigate through this ever-changing situation.

Pricing

Crèche passes are available for parents and guardians who stay in the centre while their child is in our care. Occasional care can be purchased per hour and is available for parents wishing to leave the centre. All passes are available to be purchased at reception.

Enrol your Child

To ensure the safety of your children, we require the following documentation to enrol your child into our crèche services:

  • Crèche and Occasional Care Enrolment Form below or a hard copy is available at reception
  • Immunisation History Statement and Victorian Child Health and Development Record (Green Book)

Once these forms have been submitted to our educators, your child can be booked into crèche at any time by calling or visiting reception. Spots are limited, so we encourage you to phone in advance to avoid disappointed.
