Beveridge Recreation Reserve

Beveridge Spring

The Beveridge Spring forms part of Beveridge Recreation reserve and is the last remnant of the formerly extensive Inverlochy Swamp.

The spring comprises of Woolly Tea-Trees and regionally threatened species including the Tassel Sedge. Several waterbirds use the site including the brown quail, the Australian spotted crake and the international migratory Latham’s snipe. A number of frogs and reptiles, particularly skink species have also been recorded at the wetland.

Facilities and surrounds at Beveridge Recreation Reserve are managed by the Beveridge Recreation Reserve Committee of Management Inc.
