Come and learn how to set up and maintain a worm farm for your home.
A worm farm is an excellent way to reduce the amount of organic material you place into your garbage bin, and the worms produce a rich garden fertiliser which is great for your garden.
It’s great timing too – for the month of October, we’re offering a Worm Farm and Compost Bin Subsidy, where you can claim up to 50% back for any worm farm or compost bin purchased at one of our participating retailers (capped at $50 for worm farms and $30 for compost bins).
Bookings are essential and spaces are limited. Register online or phone 03 5784 4006.
Entry is via a donation to the Broadford and District Community Garden.
Lucky door prize: one worm farm and 1000 worms to get you started.
Other fundraising and community building activities will be happening at the venue from 12noon onward, including a Rotary sausage sizzle, garden working bee, plant sale and other goodies.
