Mitchell Community Walk Against Violence
Mitchell Shire Council in collaboration with local family violence services, health care providers and Victoria Police, are delivering the inaugural Mitchell Community Walk Against Violence to raise awareness of family violence, build knowledge of local supports and show the strong stance we have as a community against violence.
The Walk aims to be an annual event which encourages our community to stand up and speak out against family violence.
As a community, it is important to recognise that violence is a violation of human rights and impacts our society significantly, but we also have the power to influence positive change for a violence free future.
Join us at Hudson Park, Kilmore for our 1st annual Mitchell Community Walk Against Violence.
The walk will commence with guest speakers at Hudson Park, before walking north up Sydney Street, and return via Patrick Street to conclude at Hudson Park for light refreshments.
Come along to the grand opening of the Seymour Community Garden. A day not just for gardeners, there is something for everyone at this free event.
