Mitchell Shire Council is joining the community in an online celebration for International Women's Day on 9 March, 9.30-10.30am.

Our guest presenter on the day will be the inspirational Angela (Anj) Barker OAM. Read Anj's story.

Anj will present about this year’s International Women's Day theme ‘Choose to Challenge’. This theme is based around the notion that we can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality, and we can all choose to seek out and celebrate women's achievements.

This event will be facilitated by Women’s Health Goulburn North East and opened with a Welcome to County from Taungurung Elder, Aunty Jo Honeysett.

Want more COVID-safe ways to get involved?

We have partnered with local business the Wandong Collective to curate a collection of International Women’s Day gift boxes that can be pre-ordered and delivered to participants homes to enjoy during the event. All products are handmade and created by local women. You can order your gift box below.

Anj supports the Y-House foundation. If you can, we encourage you to donate to the Y-House foundation who support young people living in, or at risk of living in aged care. You can donate below.

We love supporting our local businesses. By registering for this event, you will also go into the draw to win a beautiful $150 hamper from the Wandong Collective.
