Beveridge Community Centre


Beveridge is located at the southern end of Mitchell Shire on the Hume Freeway and against the backdrop of Mount Fraser. Beveridge is home to the childhood house of the notorious bushranger, Ned Kelly.

Murchinson Gap Lookout Broadford


Broadford's township is built around High Street and provides plenty of amenities while still having country charm. The town is surrounded by stunning natural landscapes including Mount Piper and the Murchison Gap Lookout.

Kilmore Hospital


Settled in 1837, Kilmore is claimed to be Victoria's oldest inland town and the geographic heart of Victoria.

Puckapunyal Army Tank Museum


Puckapunyal is located 10 kilometres west of Seymour and is best known for being the home of an Australian Army Training Facility. It is also home to the Australian Army Tank Museum.

Pyalong Trestle Bridge HERITAGE


Pyalong is located on the Northern Highway between Kilmore and Heathcote. The surrounding landscapes offer breathtaking scenic drives with tremendous boulders scattered amongst the landscapes.

Seymour sits on the banks of the Goulburn River, with the Tallarook Ranges as its backdrop. Discover the scenic town, with riverside parks and an exciting, diverse town precinct. Seymour is home to the Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Walk and is rich with military history. Visit the Seymour Visitor Information Centre.

At the foot of the magnificent Tallarook Ranges, Tallarook is a picturesque country town and the starting point of the Great Victorian Rail Trail. Just off the Hume Freeway, it's an easily accessible day trip from the Melbourne CBD.

Tooborac is in the north of Mitchell Shire and is the start of the Heathcote Wine Region- a place where country hospitality meets fantastic food and wine. Set against the backdrop of the McIvor Ranges, the area is surrounded by dramatic granite boulders. Perfect for a scenic drive.

Trawool is a popular destination for its magnificent scenery, which has been recognised by the National Trust in 1983 as a recognised scenic, geological and cultural site. Located along the Goulburn River, the area is popular for outdoor activities such as the Great Victorian Rail Trail and scenic drives.

Wallan is in the south of Mitchell Shire and is easily accessible from Melbourne. Where the city meets the country, Wallan boasts family-friendly recreational facilities and parks like the Wallan Community Bank® Adventure Playground.

Wandong and Heathcote Junction

Wandong and Heathcote Junction are neighbouring towns located at the summit of the Great Dividing Range. The townships near Mount Disappointment State Forest, a natural haven known for recreational activities.
