The Breast Screen Van is in Seymour

The hot pink Breast Screen Victoria van is in Seymour, providing free breast screens to those eligible. A breast screen every two years for those between 50 and 74 years of age is the best way to detect cancer early when treatment is most likely to be successful. Breast screens are with a female radiographer, take 10 minutes and you don’t need a GP referral or Medicare card.

The van is operating with COVID-19 safety measures in place to protect both the community and staff. All clients who screen on the van in Seymour must wear a face mask.

Appointments are being spaced out to ensure physical distancing and to reduce the number of people in the waiting area. It also provides more time for staff to clean in-between appointments.

The van will be located in the Woolworths carpark, corner of Williams and Wallis Streets until Saturday 18 December. Bookings are essential and can be made by calling 13 20 50 or via the Breast Screen Victoria website.
