Public Notice - Proposed consideration of the sale of land (Wellington Street, Wallan
Pursuant to Section 189(2) of the Local Government Act 1989, Council is required to give notice of its consideration to sell or exchange land.
Notice is hereby given of the consideration to sell the land known as Lot 2 PS743646 and Lot 5 PS7433645, Parish of Wallan Wallan (shown hatched on the plan below). The land is contained within the Certificate of Title Volume 11646 Folio F768 (Unit 2) and Volume 11646 Folio F771 (Unit 5) and is located at 49 Wellington Street, Wallan. The units are proposed to be sold through an Expression of Interest process to a Registered Housing Association.
Any person who wishes to make a submission regarding the proposed land sale may do so under Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 and written submissions will be considered in accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989. Please note all written submissions lodged will be available for public inspection for a period of 12 months in accordance with the Act. Any person making a written submission may request in the submission to be heard in support of their submission and are entitled to appear in person, or be represented by a person specified in the submission, before a meeting of Council’s Community Questions and Hearings Committee.
