New Mayor elected for 2020-2021 term

Mitchell Shire Council has a new Mayor, following an election by Councillors at a Special Council Meeting on Monday 16 November.

Cr Rhonda Sanderson was sworn in as Mitchell Shire’s Mayor during the live-streamed meeting. First-time Councillor Nathan Clark was also elected to the role of Deputy Mayor.

The pair will represent Council for the next year after Councillors also voted to install Mayor Sanderson and Deputy Mayor Clark for a single term.

The meeting also saw Mitchell Shire’s Councillors for the next four years sworn in:

    Bob Cornish
    Rob Eldridge
    Christine Banks
  • Central Ward
    Louise Bannister
    Deputy Mayor Nathan Clark
    Annie Goble
  • North Ward
    Mayor Rhonda Sanderson
    Fiona Stevens
    Bill Chisholm
