Support your local with MitchellEats takeaway food directory

Local hospitality businesses offering take away or delivery of food in Mitchell Shire can share their offerings by participating in MitchellEats.

Many small food service businesses have had to pivot their offerings after being forced to close in-house dining due to COVID-19 restrictions. The purpose of the directory is to raise awareness of these businesses who are still working hard to keep their food offerings flowing, and to provide the community with a strong list of local takeaway options.

Council put the call out to local café, restaurant, bistro, catering service or takeaway businesses to be involved and will continue to update the listings as they come in.

The directory is located on the Mitchell Shire Council website and will be promoted to the entire community via Council’s social, digital and traditional media platforms.

If you are a local business and would like to promote your offering, please submit your details online.

Our community is supporting our local businesses, and with the introduction of the MitchellEats platform it becomes that little bit easier to choose local when it comes to a meal, snack or coffee. When we support our local businesses, we also support our local people.
Mitchell Shire Mayor Councillor David Lowe

“I’d like to urge everyone who doesn’t feel like cooking tonight to head over to MitchellEats and help our local economy to recover from COVID-19,” he said.
