Kilmore Pool Membership FAQ's

Am I still able to attend the gym at Kilmore Leisure Centre?

The gym at Kilmore Leisure Centre will remain open. The roof on the gym is separate to the one on the pool. There may be short periods where the gym may need to close for works to be completed in the pool area (eg. cranes coming in). We will endeavour to notify members in advance.

How will this impact my Learn to Swim/Lap Swim membership?

Payments for all Learn to Swim and Lap Swim memberships at Kilmore Leisure Centre have been suspended immediately and will remain suspended until the pool re-opens. These members will also be credited for the direct debit from the last fortnight.

Can we access Seymour Sports and Aquatic Centre instead?

Yes. Kilmore Leisure Centre Learn to Swim and Lap Swim members will be able to access Seymour Sports and Aquatic Centre. There will be no charge for lap swimmers and learn to swim members can access the pool for casual play for free.

Where else can my family participate in the Learn to Swim program?

All Kilmore Leisure Centre’s Learn to Swim families are encouraged to continue with their child’s swimming lessons at Seymour Sports and Aquatic Centre.

There has already been a lot of interest and new classes will be created over the coming weeks to accommodate the Kilmore Leisure Centre families affected by the pool closure.

Numbers are limited and classes will be filled on a first in, best dressed basis. If we reach capacity we will add you to a waiting list and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Please note, if you start a Seymour Learn to Swim Class, your membership payments will be re-activated.

To register your interest please email leisure@mitchellshire.vic.gov.au or call SSAC directly on 5735 1500.

Be sure to let them, know you’re transferring over from Kilmore Leisure Centre and provide the following information:

  • name of parent
  • name of child(ren)
  • contract phone number
  • current level
  • preferred day
I have already paid upfront for Learn to Swim lessons or lap passes, can I get a refund?

A refund of the pro-rata amount remaining for those members who have paid upfront for Learn to Swim lessons or lap swim passes will be processed. To receive your refund, please visit the Kilmore Leisure Centre between 9am and 5pm weekdays. The refund will be processed immediately on to your bank or credit card by a member of the Management Team. Please be sure to bring the bank or credit card you used to purchase the swim lesson or lap pass.

Are there any offers available for Learn to Swim families?

All Kilmore Leisure Centre’s Learn to Swim families will receive a free family season pass to the Outdoor Pools for the 2018/19 season.

Are there any offers available for Kilmore Leisure Centre lifestyle members?

All Kilmore Leisure Centre’s members on a lifestyle membership will receive a 25% discount on their membership to compensate for loss of full centre access.

Will the aqua program be available at an alternative location?

Talks are currently taking place to see if we can hold the Kilmore Leisure Centre’s aqua program at an alternate location. If unsuccessful, we’ll develop a gentle land-based program for aqua class participants.
