Kickstart an active lifestyle at the 2018 Mitchell Health and Wellbeing Expo
26 January 2018
Becoming healthier and more active is often on the top of people’s to-do lists when going back to work or school - but sometimes it’s hard to get started.
Mitchell Shire Council’s 2018 Health and Wellbeing Expo is just around the corner and is the perfect place to kickstart your health goals.
The free expo will be held at Kilmore Memorial Hall on Saturday 10 February from 10am to 3pm.
It will include over 40 exhibitors, with a range of activities on offer including healthy cooking demonstrations, tastings and recipes, health checks, body composition scanning, reflexology sessions, reiki scans, mini tarot readings, fitness competitions and giveaways.
Mitchell Shire Mayor Rhonda Sanderson said the expo was the perfect chance for residents to discover some of the great products and services Council, local businesses and community groups have on offer.
“Council has a range of fantastic leisure and community services, and there are so many business and community groups in our shire which are helping our residents get active, become healthier and improve their lifestyles,” Cr Sanderson said.
“The 2018 Health and Wellbeing Expo will be a fantastic opportunity to showcase Council’s services and these businesses all in the one location and it will be a really valuable event for those people in our community who are keen to improve their health and wellbeing.
“We know that keeping active has so many benefits, not only physically, but mentally. I’d encourage all residents in Mitchell Shire, no matter their age or wellbeing goals, to head along.
“There’ll be plenty of opportunities to try out some healthy activities as well as chat to industry professionals – it might be just the kickstart you need to start your wellbeing journey.”
Council is also giving away a NutriBullet (RRP $169) to one lucky expo attendee.
