Two Mitchell Shire Council employees have been celebrated at the annual Aquatics and Recreation Victoria Industry awards night as they picked up two of the most decorated awards.

The duo was in a competitive field against some of the state’s best.
Ms Gawne and Ms Higgs have been instrumental parts of the Mitchell Shire Council Leisure Services team for students, parents and residents.
Mitchell Shire Council was also recognised throughout the night as one of the industry leaders in Victoria.

“I also work with both my children and that is amazing. They have the same dedication to their work as I do.
“It is nice to work alongside the community and to see everyone come back on a daily basis is amazing. This is a rewarding industry.”
