How do you rate Council’s parks?

Whether you head to the park to walk the dog, kick the footy, enjoy a picnic or simply read a book, Mitchell Shire Council wants to ensure parks are a place everyone can enjoy.

Open space might be your priority, or maybe it's good walking tracks, you might look for landscaped gardens, good seating or shade, whatever it is you look for, Council wants to hear from you.

Council wants to know what the top things are that you look for in a park, how long you spend there and how often you visit.

The Parks and Gardens team maintains Mitchell Shire's open spaces and would like input from the community to help ensure they’re spending their time and resources in parks on what the community wants.

To have your say on the things you'd like to see focused on or included in parks, and how you rate the maintenance at Council’s parks, click the Have Your Say button below.

Alternatively, you can pick up a hard copy survey from one of our Customer Service Centres.

Submissions close at 9am on Monday 24 January, 2022.

Comments from Mayor Cr Rhonda Sanderson

“Our open spaces are more than just parks and playgrounds. They’re places people can socialise, children learn how to adapt to different situations, boosting physical, social and problem-solving skills," she said.

“We’d like to know what the community seeks from our parks and playgrounds, so please, take this opportunity to have your say, get online or visit your local Library, and take the survey."
