Free influenza vaccines for eligible community members

Starting in May, Mitchell Shire Council is offering free influenza vaccines for eligible community members.

The free vaccine will be offered to children aged from six months to under five years; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders that are 15 years and older; and people aged over 65 years.

People aged over five years with medical conditions putting them at an increased risk of severe influenza should visit their own GP to receive a free influenza vaccine.

Mitchell Shire Council will not be selling flu vaccines at our childhood sessions due to limited stock and resources. If you would like to purchase a flu vaccines please visit your local GP.
