Equine land management course subsidy available
Mitchell Shire Council and Melbourne Water have partnered to offer a subsidised horse and land management program run by Equiculture.
The course encompasses sustainable farm and pasture management techniques designed with equine welfare and natural behaviour in mind.
The program is delivered digitally, with participants able to learn at their own pace.
Fifteen modules teach participants all about healthy soil and pasture, managing weeds, mud and erosion, property design and layouts as well as managing for optimal equine health.
The cost of the course is normally $125 but with the Council and Melbourne Water subsidy, the cost for Mitchell Shire residents is only $25, but positions are limited.
Applications are open until 15 December, and will be offered on a first-in basis. One subsidy is available per household.
To apply for the subsidy, please complete the online form below.
