Mitchell Shire Council has been supporting National Tree Day since 2000.
This year, National Tree Day is Sunday 28 July and Schools Tree Day is Friday 26 July.
Approximately 4000 plants will be planted on school grounds and council reserves across the shire in 2019 for the program.
Community planting events will be held across the shire including in Wallan, Wandong/Heathcote Junction, Kilmore, Broadford and Seymour.

Location: Creek Indigenous Use Garden, Taylors Creek Reserve (Watson Street, Wallan)
Wandong
Date: Sunday 28 July
Time: 9am to 12 noon
Location: Meet at Wandong Train Station, for planting at Wandong Memorial Park and Rail Street
Kilmore
Date: Sunday 28 July
Time: 10am to 12 noon
Location: Kilmore Creek (at Victoria Parade and Bourke Street, Kilmore)
Seymour

Broadford
