We're currently undertaking a Rural Land and Activities Review, and this is your chance to have your say on the future use and development of rural land and small townships within Mitchell Shire.
Mitchell Shire’s rural areas present unique opportunities and challenges which will require appropriate strategies to ensure ongoing sustainable use in the future.
We've prepared an Issues and Opportunities Paper to inform the preparation of a Rural Land and Activities Review, which will provide policy for the future use and development of rural land within the Shire, most of which is within the Farming Zone.
The Review will include a high-level review of some of the smaller townships of Mitchell to inform future strategic work.
We'll be hosting drop in sessions at:
- Tooborac Mechanics Hall (6 August)
- Pyalong Neighbourhood House (14 August)
- Tallarook Hotel (15 August)
- Clonbinane Community Hall (20 August)
- Reedy Creek Public Hall (22 August)
If you can't make a drop-in session, you can have your say online. To view the Opportunities Paper and make a submission, go to www.engagingmitchellshire.com
You can also pick up a hard copy survey at one of our Customer and Library Service Centres - located in Broadford, Kilmore, Seymour and Wallan.
