We want everyone who visits the Mitchell Shire Council website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.
What are we doing?
To help make the Mitchell Shire Council website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.
How are we doing?
We're working hard to achieve our goal of Level A accessibility, but we realise there are some areas that still need improving. The following information explains what we're doing to make that happen.
This site has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. The site displays correctly in current browsers and using standards compliant HTML/CSS code means any future browsers will also display it correctly. Additionally the visual presentation of the site will adjust itself dynamically depending on the device or browser you are using, to provide an optimised visual display for each device (especially mobile and small screen devices). Content on this site is structured in a way that should properly indicate context and meaning to accessible browsers as well as regular browser users.
If you have trouble accessing any information on our, please let us know. Our publishing team are available to assist you in accessing the desired information.
