Own a business in Mitchell Shire’s rural areas or small townships?
Then why not head to a networking event next week that will help you connect with fellow business owners, share ideas and grow your business?
The Mitchell Shire Rural and Small Townships Business Network will meet on Wednesday 13 December in Tooborac.
It’s the second time the newly-formed network has gathered, following a successful event in July.
The evening will be a chance for business owners to celebrate the year, share stories of success and share what they have learned.
Mitchell Shire Mayor Rhonda Sanderson said businesses in rural parts of the shire were craving these types of networking events.
“The feedback Council received from business owners at the event in July was that they really valued these kinds of events,” Cr Sanderson said.
“They are really keen to have a space where they can connect with one another, catch up with likeminded people, hear what other businesses are up to and learn from each other.
“That’s what’s so great about this network. It’s relaxed, informal, everyone is welcome and it presents some great opportunities for our rural businesses to develop ideas and concepts that could ultimately improve their business or help it grow.
“Even if you didn’t make it to the first event, I’d encourage people to head along and join in. We look forward to more events in 2018 and watching the network grow in the future.”
The networking event is on from 5.30pm-7.30pm on Wednesday 13 December 2017 at Tooborac Hotel and Brewery, 5115 Northern Highway. Light finger food and a drink will be included.
