WATCH AROUND WATER
Mitchell Shire Outdoor Pools are an accredited Watch Around the Water facility, meaning there are Watch Around Water guidelines that must be followed while visiting. The supervision of children in an aquatic facility is not the sole responsibility of the lifeguard. Lifeguards are employed on a 1:100 ratio; based on the expecatation that parents will provide direct supervision of all children.
Children Under 5 Years Old must be constantly supervised and remain within arms reach of a supervising adult at all times. If the child is in the water, the parent /guardian must be in the water too.
Children Under 10 Years Old must be accompanied into the facility and constantly supervised by an adult at all times. The parent/guardian must have a clear view of the child at all times.
Unsupervised children of any age will be removed from the water if the lifeguard is concerned for their safety.
Read our Watch Around Water policy here.
Kilmore Leisure Centre Crèche provides all members and casual visitors with an affordable and accessible crèche with qualified educators.
Qualified educators will supervise your child in an interactive and secure environment. The crèche has games, toys and equipment to keep your young ones happy while you exercise. They believe that children have the right to a safe and welcoming environment where they can grow, develop and learn through play. Each child is respected as an individual with unique needs, interests and wants - this is reflected in the daily routines, activities and programs. The educational program is balanced to ensure that children are provided with opportunity to develop to their potential. Children are encouraged to embrace independence, make choices, explore the environment and to extend their creativity with confidence.
Open Monday to Friday, 9am to 12noon.
Crèche services are available for 1.5 hour and 2 hour sessions, with 10 pack passes available. Occasional care can be purchased per hour and is available for parents wanting to leave the centre.
Creche and occasional care enrolment forms are available in centre or to be downloaded below. Please bring the completed forms into the centre to complete your child's enrolment.
