Community

Catering for a culturally diverse and rapidly growing population, Mitchell Shire delivers a range of quality community services, catering for all age groups.
 

Council also supports Nexus Primary Health in their provision of Home and Community Care services for residents who need additional support.

Aged Care Services are conducted by Nexus Primary Health.

Kindergarten Services

Council operates eight kindergartens within Mitchell Shire located in Pyalong, Broadford, Kilmore, Wellington Street Wallan, Bentinck Street Wallan, Wandong, Flowerdale and Seymour East.

Maternal and Child Health Service

Council operates seven centres across Mitchell Shire in Seymour, Puckapunyal, Wandong, Wallan, Broadford, Kilmore and Pyalong. The goal of the Maternal and Child Health Service is to promote healthy outcomes for children 0 - 6 years and their families.

Community Development

Council's Community Development Department works in partnership with Mitchell Shire residents, community groups, organisations and the three tiers of Government to build an active, vibrant, healthy and socially connected community.

Youth Services

Youth Services' primary function is the development and engagement of young people aged 12-25 years who live, study, work and recreate in Mitchell.

Nexus Primary Health 

Nexus Primary Health provides a broad range of services, such as Allied Health, Community Support, Health Promotion, Medical and Nursing and Mental Health and Wellbeing. These services support people to live well in the community and to help  prevent, manage and treat health and wellbeing needs. Nexus Primary Health is  a one stop shop for all your cost-effective health care services – with offices in Broadford, Seymour and Wallan as well as Euroa and Kinglake. Services are confidential and respectful of each person's needs, circumstances and culture.
