Kilmore East Bridge Renewal

Bridge works
Works underway
Kilmore East
Expected Completion:
October 2022

What's happening?

Works are nearing completion on the Kilmore East Road bridge upgrade, with the area opened back to traffic on Saturday 16 July.

The road closure implemented between O’Sheas Road and the Dry Creek Road and Nannys Creek Road intersection has been removed but some traffic management remains.

The final road sealing work has been delayed due to wet weather. Traffic management will be in place on Kilmore East Road and drivers are asked to take care and follow all directional signage.

The bridge has been strengthened to operate without a load limit and widened to provide larger traffic lanes and shoulders.

Bridge barriers have also been added and associated works to the bridge surrounds completed. The road on either end of the bridge has also been widened.

The $1.1 million project received $400,000 from the Federal Government’s Bridges Renewal Program and $700,000 from Council.
