Translating and Interpreting Services 131 450

The Australian Government, through the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, provides a telephone translating and interpreting service (TIS) for people who do not speak English and for English speakers needing to communicate with them.

TIS is Australia's only national service, and is available to any person or organisation in Australia requiring interpreting services.

TIS is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is accessible from anywhere in Australia for the cost of a local call. Just call TIS on 131 450.

TIS can be used to call Mitchell Shire Council on 03 5734 6200 to help you obtain information in your language on issues such as rates, garbage collection and urban services.
