Working for Victoria employment opportunities
Working for Victoria is supporting the people of Mitchell Shire getting back into work. There are new jobs and recovery roles that will contribute to slowing the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and help many Victorians get back to work.
We will advertise for our Working for Victoria roleas they become available. Positions will be made available on a rolling basis.

What roles are available at Mitchell?
There are no roles currently available through the Working for Victoria initiative. In the event the initiative is extended, or more roles become open, we will place them here to let you know.
How do I apply?
Applications cannot be submitted directly to Council. Instead, applications are accepted via Working for Victoria and sent to Council for consideration. Here's how you can apply.
- register for Working for Victoria. This will invite you to sign up for the Sidekicker app
- set up your Sidekicker profile
- select up to three areas of interest
- select your availability (e.g. part-time, full-time)
- select your preferred location
Once you have completed the above steps, you will receive an email confirming your registration. Download the Sidekicker app to begin browsing suggested roles.
When a role you are interested in is recommended for you, simply apply for the position through the Sidekicker app.
