Greenhill Recreation Precinct

$5.8 million will kickstart the transformation of Greenhill Recreation Precinct and help bring us one step closer to delivering a precinct which will provide aquatics, an environmental park, and other recreational opportunities for one of Melbourne’s fastest growing communities.

Investing in health and wellbeing

Over the next two decades the population in Wallan and Beveridge is projected to grow by more than 475%.

This community currently lacks access to any form of local aquatic facilities, and as it grows it will require more sport and recreational facilities.

Greenhill Recreation Precinct will bring together a range of sporting, recreational, and cultural elements focused around a centrepiece leading-edge indoor aquatics facility.

The Greenhill Precinct will include facilities suitable for use by everyone, from people with physical and/or sensory impairment, and those recovering from injury, to older adults, people with impaired mobility and/or relying on mobility aids, and families with young children.

The Greenhill Recreation Precinct is a transformational project that will deliver a unique and accessible sporting, environmental, and cultural precinct.

This would be the first investment in a three-stage project:

  • Stage 1: Detailed design ($5.8 million)
  • Stage 2: Initial construction ($16.17 million)
  • Stage 3: Project construction ($150.45 million)
