The Goulburn River Valley Tourism (GRVT) region encompasses Greater Shepparton, Mitchell, Murrindindi and Strathbogie Shires.
It is an initiative of the local Councils to encourage a cooperative approach to grow the economic return from tourism through tourism development, skills training, product development and marketing.

In the recent past GRVT has attracted major events to the region including:
- The Emirates Melbourne Cup Tour
- The Great Victorian Bike Ride.
The first Goulburn River Valley Volunteer Summit was held at Mitchelton Winery, with over 100 tourism volunteers engaging in familiarisation activities as well as learning about the new developments of GRVT.
Goulburn River Holiday Planner
The most impressive developments from GRVT has been the new website and Goulburn River Holiday Planner.
The Holiday Planner is the first piece of marketing collateral created by GRVT and has received wide spread praise from tourism providers, businesses and community members across the region.
