Council funded community grants exist as a source of financial support to incorporated local community groups and are available annually.
The availability of grants is publicised in the local media in May and on Council’s website. Grants are also offered by State and Federal Government programs and Council can assist organisations trying to source grant opportunities.

2013/2014 Community Grant applications are now closed
We will be evaluating all applications over June and July, and will advise all community organisations of the outcome of their application in late July.
A grants presentation evening will be held mid September.
2012 - 2013 Community and Tourism Events Grants
Mitchell Shire Council congratulates the recipients of the 2012-2013 Community and Tourism Events Grants.
These grants represent $187,000 in support from Council distributed to community groups and event organisers who are working to better Mitchell Shire. Council along with the community looks forward to the implementation and utilisation of these funds to better support and promote Mitchell Shire as a great place to work, live and visit.
