The White Ribbon Day campaign is led by men who are taking a stand against violence against women and helping to create positive role models for other men in the community. White Ribbon Day takes place on 25 November each year and this year, the Family Violence team at Mitchell Community Health Service, has organised a sausage sizzle to raise awareness of the issues surrounding family violence and highlight the support and programs available to residents of Mitchell and Murrindindi.
The event is being held outside the Wallan Library on 25 November during the lunch hours of 12.30pm – 2.00pm with free sausages, show bags and other handouts promoting a violence free community in conjunction with other workers from participating organisations of the Lower Hume Family Violence Network.
