Free Greenwaste October

In order for residents to more easily meet the demands of preparing their properties for the coming fire season, throughout the month of October all Mitchell Shire Council Transfer Stations will be accepting properly sorted loads of greenwaste free of charge. Greenwaste consisting of natural woods and timbers will need to be seperated from nongreenwaste items before arrival at the transfer station. Residents are encouraged to load their trailers in a manner that ensures that rubbish, metal, CCA treated timber, particle board, and pest plants such as thistle, gorse, blackberry and other pest species do not contaminate the greenwaste collection area. Rubbish, CCA treated timber, particle board, and pest plants such as thistle, gorse, blackberry and other pest species will require a tip voucher and are charged by the cubic metre (6x4 trailer loaded 45cm deep).
