| Delivering Melbourne’s Newest Sustainable Communities (DMNSC) is the latest planning update to the Victorian State Government planning policy Melbourne 2030. DMNSC recommends the Urban Growth Boundary of Melbourne be expanded to cater for an accelerated population growth within the Melbourne area. The investigation area for this proposal encompasses the southern end of the Shire, including Beveridge.

Copies of the documents are also available for inspection at the Mitchell Shire Council Broadford Library and Customer Service Centre, and the Mitchell Shire Council Wallan Library. Submissions to DMNSC close at 5:00 pm on Friday, 17 July 2009.
