Interview Attendance Costs: Council DOES NOT meet the costs incurred by applicants for attending interviews.

To assist Council to recruit the right person for the job, we do, at times, require preferred applicants to undergo psychometric testing. This is a series of assessments which identify trends individuals demonstrate in response to various situations. As with all personnel related documentation, the results of such undertakings are maintained in strict confidence.

Privacy Clause: the Mitchell Shire Council acknowledges and respects the privacy of individuals. Position applicants are required to submit written applications which will be assessed by the relevant selection panel and the most suitable applicants may be invited to attend for personal interview prior to any offers of appointment. All applications will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and if they are unsuccessful, will be disposed of within 6 months of the position advertisement. The successful applicant's personal details (including referees comments) will be included on the individual's Personnel File. Access to Personnel Files is restricted within the organisation.
